Why THE SHERPA Exists
After 25 years inside Africa's premier financial institutions — Standard Bank, Nedbank, and Absa CIB — a pattern became undeniable: transformation programmes fail not because of poor strategy, but because of structural conditions that prevent execution from taking hold.
Authority is diffused. Decision rights are unclear. Governance produces reports instead of movement. Accountability is distributed so widely it belongs to no one.
THE SHERPA was founded in 2021 to address precisely this gap — not to add another advisory layer, but to diagnose and fix the structural conditions that make delivery impossible.
